FAQs
How do I download my song after purchase?
Immediately after checkout you’re taken to a secure download page, and the same private link is emailed to you. Links stay active for 30 days and allow up to five downloads per purchase.
What audio format will I receive?
Every purchase includes a 320kbps MP3 and a 24-bit WAV master. Instrumental versions, where offered, are delivered in the same formats.
Can I purchase a song as a gift?
Yes. Choose ‘Send as a gift’ at checkout, add the recipient’s email and a short note, and we’ll deliver the download link on the date you pick.
What rights do I receive when purchasing a song?
A standard purchase grants a personal, non-commercial listening license. Commercial, broadcast or sync use requires a separate licence — see the Music Licensing / Usage Terms page.
Can I use a purchased song in a YouTube or social-media video?
Personal, non-monetized videos are generally fine with credit. Monetized channels, ads or client work need a commercial licence, which you can request through the contact form.
How does custom lyric writing work?
You complete the creative brief, choose a service tier and pay. We review your story, ask any follow-up questions, then deliver a first draft for your feedback.
How long does a custom request take?
Custom Lyrics 1-5 Business Days, Lyrics + Demo 10–14 days, and a Personalized Complete Song 1–3 weeks. Rush options are available on request for an additional fee.
Are revisions included?
Yes- up to two for Custom Lyrics, two revisions with Lyrics + Demo and up to three with a Personalized Complete Song. Extra rounds can be added at any time for additional fee.
Who owns the rights to custom lyrics or personalized songs?
You receive full personal-use ownership of the finished work you commissioned. Commercial release rights can be arranged as an add-on before production begins.
How are merchandise orders fulfilled and shipped?
Merchandise is made to order by our print partner and ships within 3–5 business days. Tracking is emailed as soon as your order leaves the facility.
What is the return/refund policy?
Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered. Merchandise can be returned unworn within 30 days, and any misprinted or damaged item is replaced free of charge.
Who owns the custom lyrics or poem I purchase?
Purchasing custom lyrics or poetry does not automatically transfer copyright ownership. Unless your order includes additional commercial rights or a separate written rights assignment, your purchase is provided under the usage rights associated with the service you selected.
Can I use my custom lyrics to create and release a song?
Yes, if you purchase the appropriate Commercial Use License. The license may permit you to add music and melody, work with musicians or producers, record the lyrics, distribute the resulting song, perform it, and monetize the finished project according to the terms of your license.
Can I commercially use a custom poem?
Yes. Customers who purchase the applicable Commercial Use License may use their custom poem commercially within the uses authorized by that license, such as publication, performance, video, promotional content, or another approved commercial project.
What's the difference between Personal Use and Commercial Use?
Personal Use is intended for things such as gifts, personal celebrations, keepsakes, private events, and other non-commercial purposes.
Commercial Use applies when you intend to generate revenue or use the work in connection with a commercial project—for example, releasing a song to streaming platforms, monetizing a video, commercially publishing a poem, or using the work in business or promotional content.
Will my custom lyrics or poem be written by a person or with AI assistance?
Psalms by Heaven may provide works created with the assistance of AI and other digital creative technologies as well as works professionally written by human writers. The creative process may therefore differ depending upon the service and project.
Where AI-assisted creative tools are used, human direction, editing, rewriting, selection, arrangement, and other creative contributions may also be involved.
Are the rights different for AI-assisted content?
Potentially. Under current U.S. Copyright Office guidance, copyright protects qualifying human-authored expression, while purely AI-generated material may not independently qualify for copyright protection.
For AI-assisted projects, Psalms by Heaven grants the usage or commercial rights specified in the applicable agreement to the extent those rights are owned or controlled by Psalms by Heaven. We do not guarantee that every AI-generated element independently qualifies for copyright protection.
What if my lyrics or poems are professionally written by a human writer?
When Psalms by Heaven commissions a professional writer, we intend to obtain the appropriate written rights necessary to provide the work and applicable customer licenses. Copyright initially belongs to an author unless ownership arises or is transferred under applicable copyright law. A copyright ownership transfer generally must be documented in a signed writing.
Does purchasing a Commercial Use License mean I own the copyright?
No. A Commercial Use License gives you specified permission to commercially use the work but does not automatically transfer ownership of the underlying copyright.
For example, depending on the license, you may be permitted to record and monetize a song using the lyrics while Psalms by Heaven retains its underlying rights in the written work.
What if I want full rights to my lyrics or poem?
Customers interested in acquiring Psalms by Heaven’s transferable copyright interest in a custom work may request a Full Rights/Copyright Assignment. This is separate from the standard purchase and Commercial Use License and may require additional fees and a signed written agreement.
Availability will depend on the particular work and the rights Psalms by Heaven actually owns or controls.
If I turn custom lyrics into a recorded song, who owns the recording?
The written lyrics/composition and the resulting sound recording can involve separate copyrights. The U.S. Copyright Office treats a musical composition and a sound recording as separate works.
The written lyrics/composition and the resulting sound recording can involve separate copyrights. The U.S. Copyright Office treats a musical composition and a sound recording as separate works.
Ownership of a customer’s finished recording will therefore depend upon the customer’s arrangements with their vocalist, producer, musicians, record label, AI service, or other parties involved in creating it. Psalms by Heaven’s license should address only the rights Psalms by Heaven is authorized to grant.
Can I register the finished work with the U.S. Copyright Office?
Potentially, but registration eligibility and what may properly be claimed depend upon the circumstances, including human authorship, AI-generated material, ownership, and contributions from other creators. Customers are responsible for ensuring that any copyright application accurately identifies the authorship and rights being claimed.
